Bulawayo (New Ziana) – President Mnangagwa arrived at Mkhithika grounds in Cowdry Park in Bulawayo on Wednesday mid-morning for a rally to drum up support for the ruling Zanu PF party in this month’s general elections.

Tens of thousands of party supporters, drawn from around the Bulawayo province, have converged at the venue of the rally, braving chilly weather in the rally.

President Mnangagwa is accompanied by Vice President Constantino Chiwenga and other senior party officials.

The country is due to hold presidential, parliamentary and local government elections on August 23 to choose new leaders and representatives for the next five years.

Earlier, President Mnangagwa officially opened the newly built Cowdry Park Health Centre, which is expected to ease medical-related challenges the people in the area previously faced.
