IT Manager (re-advertisement)
New Ziana, the national news agency, is seeking a creative and tech-savvy IT Manager with a passion for digital journalism. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing and publishing engaging multimedia content across our online platforms to enhance our digital presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall management of our website and social media platforms (Facebook, X, TikTok, Telegram, Instagram, WhatsApp Channels).
Troubleshoot website bugs and backend management
Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite apps.
Assign and manage digital content schedules.
Ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
Oversee IT operations and provide technical support across the organisation.
Qualifications:
Degree in IT or a related field.
Minimum of five years experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in HTML, MySQL, AWS (server and user access), PHP, and various web browsers and OS platforms.
Strong understanding of IT security principles, COTS products, and Internet technologies.
Experience in graphic design applications is an added advantage.
Proven supervisory and leadership skills.

New Ziana, which runs a news agency and publishes eight community newspapers, is seeking an editor to join its editorial team.
Key Responsibilities:
Create stunning layouts for our newspaper and digital platforms.
Manage multimedia content (videos, photo galleries, podcasts).
Shoot and edit engaging audio-visual content and photography including livestreaming.
Ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
Manage social media accounts (Facebook, X, TikTok, Telegram, Instagram, WhatsApp Channels) and implement digital marketing strategies to grow online engagement.
Keep up with emerging digital trends in media and publishing to enhance audience reach and revenue generation.
Qualifications:
Degree in journalism with a focus on media content creation and processing.
A qualification in a related field with specialisation in Graphic Design is an added advantage.
Minimum of five years experience in a similar position, demonstrating proven expertise in multimedia editing and content creation.
