Harare, (New Ziana) -National trade development and promotion body ZimTrade expects to make a significant impact at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), which began on Monday and ends on Saturday.

Operating under the theme “Igniting Local Industries for Global Integration,” ZimTrade will showcase its work in transforming the country’s productive sectors into globally competitive export engines.

In a statement, ZimTrade chief executive officer Allan Majuru reiterated that their presence at the ZITF 2025 was about showcasing more demonstrating impact than products.

“Through innovation, collaboration, and strategic investment in export development, we are seeing tangible progress in how Zimbabwean businesses position themselves globally,” he said.

The ZITF is a premier international exhibition that promotes trade and investment in Zimbabwe, bringing together industry stakeholders to showcase innovative products, share ideas, and drive economic growth.

Majuru said ZimTrade will highlight the critical link between local industrialisation and export competitiveness through its ongoing initiatives.

The organisation provides technical guidance and market insights to ensure Zimbabwean products meet international standards and market preferences.

Initiatives such as the Best Model Farm Programme and Export Capacity Development have assisted companies access new markets and enhance product quality while the organisation is also championing inclusive trade development through platforms like the Next She Exporter initiative and the Eagle’s Nest Youth Export Incubator, programs that empower women and young entrepreneurs to participate in export markets.
