Bulawayo, (New Ziana) -Gwanda Town in Matabeleland South stands to benefit immensely from participating at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair after showcasing its developmental plans as it eyes attracting investment and fostering partnerships, an official has said.
Town clerk Priscilla Nkala said this during an interview at the town’s exhibition stand at the ZITF in Bulawayo on Thursday.
She said participating at trade fair gives them a lot of opportunities that will go a long way in improving their standards as a local authority.
“We are learning a lot from attending the Trade Fair, especially on the use of technology as a leverage for expediting business processes, and some of the investment opportunities come through the exhibition,” she said.
“Our twinning with Makhado Municipality (in Limpopo province, Southm Africa) will enable us to make our small businesses share synergies with the businesses in Makhado. We will be able to attract strategic investment. During the Trade Fair we showcase together with Makhado Municipality and the SMES from Makhado are also represented.”
The ZITF offers opportunities for local authorities and businesses to showcase their trade and investment opportunities, allowing for discussions on potential collaborations and development projects.
