The community of Chikomba West was all smiles last week following the commissioning by Provincial Minister Itayi Ndudzo, of several life-changing projects of government.

The projects, which were officially handed over to the community, are a testament to the government’s commitment to advancing rural development.
Chikomba West witnessed the commissioning of projects, which include a new school block at Tagarika Primary School, teachers’ houses, a solar-powered borehole with a nutritional garden, and a Starlink kit for internet connectivity.

These projects are a significant step towards improving the quality of education, teacher welfare, and digital inclusion in the constituency.

The projects were made possible through a partnership between the government, Nhaka Foundation, Manyame RDC, and the local community.

Councillor for Ward 20 Dube Sam played a pivotal role in bringing the stakeholders together for this noble cause.

“These projects align with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision of promoting Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) for development,” said Minister Ndudzo during the commissioning ceremony.

“We are committed to ensuring that our rural communities have access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities”, he added.
The new school block at Tagarika Primary School will provide a conducive learning environment for students, while the teachers’ houses will improve teacher welfare and retention.

The solar-powered borehole with a nutritional garden will provide a reliable source of clean water and promote food security, while the Starlink kit will enable the school to access the internet and leverage digital technologies.

Legislator for the constitueny, Minister Tatenda Mavetera thanked Nhaka Foundation, Manyame RDC, and the local community for their support in making the projects a reality saying together we can build a brighter future for our children and communities.

The commissioning of the projects is a significant milestone in a journey towards advancing rural development in Chikomba West Constituency.
