Harare, (New Ziana) – Dynamos Football Club has announced that it will restructure its technical team as it struggles to find form in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
According to a club statement, the decision to restructure the current technical team follows a thorough review of the team’s performance and log standing.
“Following a thorough review of the team’s current performance and log standing, the club has resolved to take immediate action to restore its competitive edge,” read part of the statement.
The team currently sits in 16th place on the PSL table with 8 points from 11 matches, having won one game, drawn five, and lost five.
Dynamos have managed to score only two goals, one of which was an own goal. “A full statement detailing the new structure is expected to be issued by Wednesday,” reads the statement.
Dynamos’ current coach, Lloyd Mablanyo Chigowe, is expected to be impacted by the restructuring. This weekend, Dynamos will host Caps United at Rufaro stadium, which recently appointed Ian Bakala as their coach.
Caps United had a poor start to the season also, and the appointment of Bakala is in hopes of reversing their fortunes.
Dynamos are currently positioned between Triangle FC, who have the same number of points but a better goal difference, and Kwekwe United, who sit at the bottom with 7 points.
Dynamos last won the PSL title in 2014 under Coach Callisto Pasuwa, who later departed to coach in Malawi.
